Who we are

Better Gutters and Drainage has been servicing the Jacksonville and surrounding areas for over 30 years. It's family-owned in the plainest sense: Cy Delmont runs the work, and his wife Robyn runs it with him. When you call, you're reaching the family whose name is on the job — not a call center, and not a franchise office three states away.

Cy's own path through the trades goes back to 2000 — dock building first, then turbine engineering, then construction. That's his personal history, and it shaped how he works: measure honestly, build to the published spec, and answer the phone afterward. The work is built around one specific idea rather than inherited habits.

The idea: the whole water path

Most gutter companies stop at the downspout. The gutter gets hung, the downspout goes in, and the entire roof's water gets dumped a foot from your slab — where it starts causing the next problem. Cy kept seeing that gap, and this company exists to close it.

One crew handles the gutter, the downspout, the underground pipe, and the discharge point where the water finally leaves your property. When something needs attention later, there's no "call the sub" runaround — because there is no sub layer between you and the people who installed it.

Who we're a fit for — and who we're not

We're a fit if you want the work explained plainly, done to the manufacturer's published instructions, and documented with photos and video you can see whenever you ask. We're a fit if you'd rather hear "your gutters are fine" than get sold a replacement you don't need — because that's what our estimate says when it's true.

We're not the right call for bargain patch bids or same-day emergency tarping. And we won't be the cheapest quote every time — we'll just be the one where the people quoting the job are the people doing it, and the phone still answers afterward, seven days a week during business hours.

Before anyone touches the house, we meet and go over exactly what happens, when, and where.

The install

To the manufacturer's published instructions, not to whatever is fastest. The crew is on site every full workday until it's done.
